Nick Broomfield is a documentary practitioner who operates in the participatory mode and upon it could be argued that he over participates to the point that he breaks Ofcom rules. It could also be argued that the level of truth he unearths via the use of his high level of participation could cross over into the political reflexive mode of documentary.
