This is my second photo essay that I have done; this one is done on the Medina Mosque which is a Mosque in the centre of Southampton. It has a very close relationship with the other mosques in the area and has two main prey halls which mean woman can use the second one if desired. My pictures were taken during there business prey session which is a Friday afternoon, I was limited to angels to take the pictures because of not being able to move around while inside as this would disrupt preys and also because the rooms were packed out with over 700 men.

In this photo essay there is a combination of both 15-55mm and 55-250mm lens on the 550D that I used to shot these photographs. That has meant that with it if you observe is how there are close ups of faces  on photos 1,3,4,6,7,8,11 where I have used the 55-250 lens to get up close and personal and therefore show good facial expressions on some. Then the rest which is 2, 9, 10, 12 are zoomed out, these were shot on the 15-55mm lens so I could fit the wide shots needed to fetcher crowds also. With lighting in the mosque ok, either good or bad I shot on mainly TV as I wanted to play around with the depth of field because of all the rows of people within the mosque. Secondary I used P as at times I wanted to worry less about depth of field and shutter and more just about getting the right picture will in perfect focus, this required quick reactions and that’s why I used P to make it easier. Overall this is a nice combination of both lens the only drawback was that I was not able to move around while prey was on to shot different photos are different areas and angles of the mosque.
