• First group meeting
• Discussed casual ideas for documentary, basic ideas from group members.
• A few initial ideas (e.g. ladies sports that are predominantly run/played by men and the stereotypes placed upon women in 'mens' sports, UK-based vigilantes, people overcoming their phobias).
• Decided to focus more on the idea of UK-based vigilantes and real-life super heroes.

4/10/11
• Finalised roles for documentary
• Discussed different documentaries each group member had seen. (Channel 4 Mystery Donor seemed popular, but unable to find online.)
• With regards to our first idea about real-life super heroes, a member of the group suggested the This Morning interview with UK-based vigilantes.
• Reflected on short documentaries seen in last lecture, and how they helped us focus on our project, what to put in, what not to put in, etc.
• Discussed budget a little, but decided it was best to have a firm idea of what our documentary would be based on before we decided on a clear budget

18/10/11
• Today, as a group, we discussed all the ideas we have come up with so far.
• We have settled on the vigilante justice documentary as our favourite idea.
• We also decided our back-up idea would be Rosie's idea of someones personal journey trying to deal with phobias.
• We discussed that with this idea we would have to handle matters very carefully so we didn't cast anyone in a bad light.
• We also discussed how we would have to find someone willing to face their fear with a 110% enthusiasm as our documentary would be ruined if they dropped out half way through - this would be used if we went with Rosie's idea of 'Phobias'.
• We also discussed individual research and Chris added new information and research to his personal ideas page.
• Rosie also added her ideas to her individual idea page.

22/10/11
• Alex joined the group - added a very good back up idea (East Anglia Children's Hospice).
• Alex was added to the Yola site, individual pages created.
• Meeting with everyone to discuss roles, and how they might be affected by Alex. Turned out roles weren't affected badly! Alex joined Chris in Marketing and joined Lucy as Line Producer.

• Lucy, as producer made a list of all the things which we need to do including:

3/11/11
• Chris, Joe, Alex and Lucy met up to discuss our superhero idea, and what we could add to it and also include in it, e.g. what interviews we would have, who we would interview etc.
• Interview questions were discussed, and Ofcom rules and regulations were gone through, as we do not want to break these rules in our documentary (e.g. by putting someone in a bad perspective).

14/11/11
• Individual photo essays were looked through by the group, discussed and analysed.
• E-mail sent out by Lucy to the rest of the group to cover presentation topics, and how each department adds to our group presentation due in for Week 12. E.g. Ofcom rules and regulations were put to Alex, visual signatures were put to Paul (DoP) and Matt (Editor)
• Alex's back up idea was discussed further.

• All group members researched into questions posed by Lucy to help with the group presentation.
21/11/11
• Lucy changed Yola design so it looked more professional.
23/11/11
• Back up idea discussed - E.A.C.H (East Anglia Children's Hospice). Alex made contact with them. Discussed what would be the limitations (e.g. CRB Checks and its cost, interviews with the children and/or workers/parents)
• Limitations and primary sources discussed for superhero idea - if primary sources do not reply, where would we go with our idea?
• Overall plan and what we would try and convey to the audience for our superhero idea. Discussed how the documentary would flow (e.g. how the 'narrative' would be shown).
• Producer assigned the Marketing and Art department to come up with 1 poster idea (so would end up with 3 poster ideas). Some people in the group had fairly stable ideas anyway.
• Made plans for the first superhero trailer, thought of casting for it, so it would be a staged trailer. This would not reflect our documentary technique, because none of our documentary will be staged, apart from the interview questions.
• Planned for next meeting.
• Questions/concerns from the group were raised, discussed, questioned and resolved. These included wha to add to Yola pages, what information each department should be coming up with in regards to the superhero documentary and their own ideas and also how they thought the group dynamic was working.

27/11/11
• Chris had undertaken individual research into the specifities of our niche audience - people who enjoy comic books and who are interested in superheroes of any kind, also research on real life superheroes in the UK, where they were based and what they did. The group then looked over his research to gain extra background knowledge that helped us develop our documentary idea further.
• T-shirts were ordered, and expected to arrive in a week.
• Presentation was started by Lucy.
