"We exist to educate and remind every 18-30 year old in the UK that checking their boobs isn't only fun, it could save their life. How do we do this? By targetting music lovers at festivals and students at Universities. We garner corporate support to co-brand. We launch captivating national awareness campaigns that help us get amazing PR. We organise events that are fun and inspiring. We engage fellow young breast cancer survivors to be our voice and we pester famous faces to help us reach an even wider audience. We're like a friendly bop on the head when you least expect it. Awareness is at the core of our operation. You won't find us shaking a bucket on the streets, but we will be there asking you when you last checked your boobs."

On the 28th October 2011, Rosie and I got the chance to hop on a train and head to London for a CoppaFeel! event in UCL, promoting the charity and promoting awareness of breast cancer.

I had heard of the charity earlier on in the year when I attended Beach Break Live, a student festival in South Wales. They were there too, raising awareness as well, using temporary tattoos to "name your boobs!". However, I heard of this event thanks to Twitter, and a few 're-tweet'ed tweets. They were looking for people to film, take picturs and basically document the day at UCL, so I took the chance and once I had confirmation, I asked the rest of the group if anyone wanted to join - however, Rosie was the only one free on that day.

Anyway, I thought it would be a good idea to go to this event to get an understanding/knowledge and gain practise on the 450D for our upcoming photo essay project. Below are some (un-edited) examples of some of the pictures we got from the event:

These photo's and some more will be analysed and edited, and will be on my photo essay page.
